The process of getting a borehole installed

Four stages, each ending in a document you keep.

  1. 1

    Geological Survey and siting

    A borehole geological survey identifies the best location and expected depth for groundwater. A hydrogeologist studies geological maps, satellite data, existing boreholes, and surface geology, then conducts geophysical tests such as electrical resistivity. The results indicate underground rock formations, possible aquifers, groundwater depth, and the most suitable drilling point.

    Drilling and installation

    We drill the borehole, install the casing and gravel pack, and flush the well until the water runs clear. The borehole is then developed and the pump installed and tested. A detailed drilling log is recorded throughout the process, ensuring accurate and transparent documentation from start to completion.

    Testing and handover

    We conduct comprehensive water quality testing to ensure the borehole is safe for use. Our team also provides a full day of WASH committee training, covering proper management and maintenance. A signed handover certificate is provided, together with the drilling log and complete water test results.

  4. 4

    Maintenance

    Regular borehole maintenance helps keep your water system reliable and efficient. Our team visits the site to inspect equipment, diagnose problems, and identify potential faults early. We provide professional repairs, servicing, and scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns, extend equipment lifespan, and ensure a consistent, safe water supply throughout the year.
